Two events against corruption — a picket and a rally — will take place at the monument to Stepan Khalturin in Kirov on March 26. According to social networks, they have different timing and different organizers.
On March 17, a group of three activists filed a notice to the Mayor's Office of Kirov to hold a picket on March 26 from 14:00 to 16:00 on Theater Square or at the city administration. Officials replied that other events (without specifying) would be held at these locations at the same time, so they suggested holding a picket at the monument to Stepan Khalturin. VKontakte group, dedicated to holding a picket, wrote that organizers had agreed to the proposed option. Its timing has changed – from 11:00 to 12:30.
Press service of the mayoralty explained «7x7», that the youth action "Batteries, give up" was planned on March 26 from 13:00 to 15:00 – the city residents can hand over the used batteries for recycling. It will be held at eight points, including Theater Square and the City Hall.
On the same day, the regional branch of PARNAS will hold a rally against corruption near the monument. When the head of the regional branch of the party Vadim Ananyin submitted notice to the mayor's office, he also indicated that he would like to conduct an action on the main square or near the administration building. He was refused with reference to the regional law, which prohibited the conduct of actions, except for picketing, in airports, railway stations, social infrastructure, educational, cultural, entertainment, public transport and children's and sports grounds, as well as adjacent territories. As a result, Ananyin agreed to a rally near the monument to Khalturin from 13:00 to 15:00.
One of the organizers of the picket Semyon Podolsky told «7x7» that the application for the picket was submitted later by Ananyin and they "did not manage to agree on joint holding". The picket form was chosen, because the notification about the rally should be submitted in 10 days, and the organizers did not have this time. It takes three days to notify the picket.
Actions on the same topic in different formats will take place in several dozen cities of Russia on March 26. The reason for this was the investigation of the Anti-Corruption Fund "He is not Dimon", whose authors accused Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev of bribery and other corruption crimes.
