On November 2, a delegation of representatives from various departments, including the FSIN, arrived to Segezhskaya colony № 7. Early in the morning chairman of the Karelian PMC Alexander Ruzanov went there. Objective was to verify the facts of beating and bullying of Ildar Dadin, the first accused by the article for violating the order of organizing and holding the meeting.
According to our correspondent, the same morning, two other members of the Public Monitoring Commission and a representative of the Commissioner for Human Rights Sergey Prudnikov went to the colony. Their arrival is expected within the next hour.
On November 1, Alexander Ruzanov reported «7x7» that he was not going to go to the colony, because it was far away and he could not catch the evening train. On the same day, locals said that colony area was cordoned off, no one was allowed there. According to correspondent of «7x7», there is a cordon at the entrance to the colony now, cars are inspected, but passed.
Karelian prosecutor on law enforcement supervision in prisons Igor Khrapchenkov declines to comment on the latest developments, while representatives of the Investigative Committee, who are now in prison, do not complete the test.
Source of «7x7» reported that human rights commissioner of the Russian Federation Tatyana Moskalkova goes to the colony; it is expected that she will find time to communicate with journalists.
November 1, "Medusa" published a letter of Ildar Dadin, who is serving a sentence in the Karelian colonies under the article for violating the order of organizing the protest action. Dadin wrote shocking details of his detention and all prison unit. In particular, he stated that he was taken away all the things, was tossed prohibited items, repeatedly beaten, lowered his head into the toilet, hung naked on the handcuffs, threatened with death. Civil activists have created a petition demanding resignation of the prison chief until the end of investigation.
Bullying of prisoners occurred in the colony before; according to the authors of the site "Freedom is Paradise", in 2012, relatives of serving a sentence addressed to human rights defenders for help.
