Russia Today reported that Liliya Chanysheva, the former chief of Navalny Headquarters* in Ufa, requested a pardon from Putin. Her lawyer confirmed her intentions to '7x7' on May 14th.

In her plea, Liliya Chanysheva wrote that her parents were ill and that she herself had 'ceased socio-political activities and intended to focus on family matters.'

According to the document, Chanysheva paid a 400,000 ruble fine and stepped down as the chief of Navalny Headquarters* in Ufa after the organization was labeled extremist.

Chanysheva's lawyer, Ramil Gizatullin, informed '7x7' that while he hadn't personally seen the document, there were no doubts about its authenticity. He stated that he had discussed the submission of the plea with his client, and moreover, the document was written in the activist's handwriting.

In the summer of 2023, Liliya Chanysheva was sentenced to 7.5 years in a penal colony for promoting extremism and participating in the activities of an extremist organization. In April 2024, her sentence was increased to 9.5 years.
