The "Velykodvorsky Glass Plant" has announced mass layoffs at the plant. The company has to downsize because its Italian furnace needs replacement. 201 employees will be laid off. This was reported by "Zebra-TV" on October 18th.

Over 200 employees of the "Velykodvorsky Glass Plant" have received layoff notices. Their employment ends on December 7th, with no option of transfer to other positions. According to "Zebra-TV," the production has to stop because the Italian furnace at the factory has reached the end of its operational lifespan. The plant has also other European equipment installed on its production lines.

A total of 201 employees will be laid off. Local authorities claim that the plant's management is exploring possibilities for acquiring components for the furnace.

The glass plant in the Vladimir region produces bottles for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as containers for ketchup, sauces, dairy products, and coffee. The plant was founded in 1817, and it currently employs 325 people.

Five days earlier, production was temporarily halted at another Vladimir-based plant. It happened when the "Vladimir Bread Factory" was inspected by the local military enlistment office specialists and police. The company issued a warning that part of Vladimir would be left without its regular supply of bread.
