A Ukrainian sabotage group has attempted to invade the Bryansk Region. Governor Alexander Bogomaz reported the incident on August 15th.
According to Alexander Bogomaz, the head of the Bryansk region, an armed group launched an attack near the town of Kurkovichi in the Starodubsky municipal district. The attackers have been forced to retreat. An employee from a local agricultural enterprise suffered injuries during the incursion, He was delivered to the hospital.
During a fire exchange, one animal was killed, and various production facilities and a vehicle were damaged.
In March 2023, a sabotage and reconnaissance group infiltrated the territories of the Bryansk towns of Lyubechane and Sushany. The responsibility for this act was claimed by the Russian Volunteer Corps, which has been fighting on the Ukrainian side since 2014. Two persons were killed in the incident.
During the raid, a 10-year-old boy, Fyodor Temirov, sustained injuries. Reportedly, he guided two girls to safety when their vehicle came under fire. Governor Bogomaz pledged to buy Fyodor's family a new house, and Vladimir Putin awarded the schoolboy a medal "For Bravery."
