Deputies of the republican legislative assembly from the Yabloko party filed an appeal with the Head of Karelia, Artur Parfenchikov, and asked to conduct a medical examination for conscripts. According to the deputies, several conscripts addressed them and reported that they had been mobilized without a health check. Deputy Emilia Slabunova wrote about the appeal in her Telegram channel.

According to the republican legislative assembly’s deputies, they were contacted by the conscripts and told that they had been last examined by doctors several years ago. According to Yabloko’s members, the conscripts were required to undergo a medical examination under a federal law. Thus, the deputies believe, the conscripts’ constitutional right to health protection was violated.

They demanded that the head of the republic, Artur Parfenchikov, provide information on whether all the conscripts have been medically examined and, if there are any violations, take measures and conduct a "medical examination or certification" for the conscripts.

The same deputies had demanded that Vladimir Putin issue a decree on the mobilization’s finalization. Deputies from the Yabloko faction recalled that the public statements of the President and the Minister of Defense on the military draft’s finalization had no legal force.

"This fact affects the psychological state of society, is a source of disturbance and increased anxiety in Russian families and labor collectives, health problems among many people," the appeal’s authors believe.
