Oleg Mikhailov, the State Duma’s deputy from Komi, filed a lawsuit for the protection of honor and dignity against Vladimir Uyba, the head of the republic. Uyba had called the deputy a "new fascist" and said that Mikhailov had kept Mein Kampf on his desk. The claim is at the editorial office’s disposal.

The deputy asked the court to recognize this information as false and oblige the Head of the Komi Republic to publish a refutation on vk.com. In addition, Mikhailov asked to recover 100 thousand rubles from Uyba for each day of delay in the court decision if it sided with the deputy.
The head of the republic did not call the deputy like that personally, but did it in a conversation with a local activist. In early May, social activists planned to hold a concert in the village of Madmas, but the authorities did not allow holding it. One of the activists, who asked for anonymity, contacted the head of the republic, and he said that the concert was canceled because "anti-state and anti-presidential slogans had been planned on it" and unexpectedly called Deputy Mikhailov a "neo-fascist."
This is not the first conflict between the political opponents. At the Komi State Council's meeting on April 29, 2021, Deputy Mikhailov criticized the report on the government's work over the past year and called Uyba "a coward." After the meeting, there was a conflict between the deputy and the head of Komi: Uyba obscenely offered Mikhailov settling things "like men" and called him "a horse". An audio recording of the conversation was published in the Novaya Respublika (‘new republic’) Community.
