On the evening of February 24 several activists took to the central street of the capital of Komi —  Kommunisticheskaya — to support, in their opinion, illegally convicted prisoners of the Bolotnaya Square case.

Let us recall that now the Zamoskvoreche District Court in Moscow sentenced seven defendants of the 6th May case to a term of two and a half to four years in prison. Eighth person named in this case — Alexandra Dukhanina — was put on probation.

Participants of the rally prepared T-shirts "May 6. For your and our freedom", "Freedom for the prisoners of May 6", as well as posters. But only few passersby were interested in it.

Several people engaged in a dialogue with activist, animal defender Svetlana Uvarkina. The majority interested in what's going on here haven’t even heard of the Bolotnaya Square case.

Then Svetlana had to explain the essence of what happened today in Moscow and on May 6, 2012, on the Bolotnaya square literally in lay terms. But Svetlana herself was recognized, with remarks in the direction of her (as a reproach): "Look! Was defending dogs and now... for freedom."

Another protestor, head of the regional branch of the former party "People's Alliance", and now — the "Progress Party" — Grigory Kablis explained that he came to somehow support those who have already spent so much time behind bars awaiting sentencing and now have lost freedom for a few years.

“I came to support people who did nothing wrong and didn’t even intend to. And to stir people up a little. You can’t just up and clap people behind bars for no obvious reason, particularly for such terms,” Grigory Kablis commented on his decision.”

However, the activists at most never managed "to stir people up", as they counted on.

One hour after the beginning of the action the guards approached to the participants. Inquired the purpose of presence of activists on Kommunisticheskaya street, received the answer and wrote down personal data of S. Uvarkina, police moved along.
