Blogger Alyona Agafonova has been placed in a pre-trial detention center for a video in which she 'tickled' the breast of the Motherland Calls monument in Volgograd. According to a report from the press office of the Investigative Department of the Volgograd Oblast Investigative Committee, dated February 9, the girl is being accused of rehabilitating Nazism.
A blogger from Samara, Alyona Agafonova, was detained upon her arrival in Russia and taken to Volgograd. She is being accused of rehabilitating Nazism. In the summer, Agafonova posted a video of her 'tickling' the breast of the Motherland Calls monument.
A pro-government Telegram channel drew attention to the blogger’s post, prompting her to leave the region after a scandal. She was subsequently sought by the police.
The day before Agafonova’s arrest, Bashkir social activist Rasul Akhiyaretdinov urged authorities to 'cover shameful parts' of the Volgograd monument. "Our Mother - neither yours, nor mine - cannot look this way," stated the man in his appeal to Vladimir Putin.
