Adam Kadyrov has been awarded the highest state honor of Karachay-Cherkessia, "For Merits to the Karachay-Cherkess Republic," as head of the republic Rashid Temrezov announced in his Telegram channel on October 25th.
Adam, Ramzan Kadyrov’s son, receives a second award in two days from regional leaders. On October 25th, he was presented with the highest state honor of Karachay-Cherkessia, "For Merits to the Karachay-Cherkess Republic."
According to Rashid Temrezov, head of Karachay-Cherkessia, the award was given to the 15-year-old for his "personal contribution to the development of interethnic and interregional unity, and for strengthening traditional Islamic values." Temrezov referred to the younger Kadyrov as a "true patriot."
On October 24th, Adam Kadyrov received the "Duslyk" order from the head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov. A few days earlier, local legislator Azat Khamaev criticized Adam Kadyrov for assaulting a detainee. Minnikhanov clarified that the legislator’s criticism was no more than his personal opinion. He also emphasized that the people of Tatarstan appreciate the Kadyrovs’ efforts "to establish peace in the region and maintain the country's integrity." Khamaev apologized for his statement.
In August 2023, Nikita Zhuravel, a resident of Volgograd who was accused of offending religious sentiments by burning the Quran, reported that Adam Kadyrov, a son of Ramzan Kadyrov, had beaten him. A month later, the head of Chechnya published a video of the assault. The police refused to initiate a criminal case against Adam. Later, Ramzan Kadyrov released a recording of his meeting with the accused in which Zhuravel expresses his desire to convert to Islam, but Kadyrov does not believe in his sincerity.
