Duma member Nikolai Novichkov in his appeal to Justice Minister Konstantin Chuychenko has called for the dissolution of the "Yabloko" party. Novichkov accused "Yabloko" of extremism as an essential element of its election program and public statements. The appeal was published by Ura.ru platform on March 7.

Nikolai Novichkov specifically commented on Yabloko leader Grigory Yavlinsky's proposal for settling the conflict in Donbas peacefully. According to Yavlinsky’s plan, Russian troops must be withdrawn from Donbas and any support for “forces and movements” operating in the region has to stop. Yavlinsky also called to put an end to hate speech and war propaganda in Russian state media.

Novichkov accused "Yabloko" of promoting extremism in their election program and public speeches and has asked Justice Minister Konstantin Chuychenko to take steps for the dissolution of the party.

Recently, "Yabloko" submitted a draft resolution to the Moscow City Duma, proposing amnesty for violations under the law on military censorship. Regional legislators Emilia Slabunova from Karelia, Lev Shlosberg from Pskov, and Anna Cherepanova from Veliky Novgorod have been involved in the most significant anti-war initiatives in their respective provinces. Slabunova was fined in February for suggesting money be spent on building schools instead of war, while Shlosberg was fined twice for “discrediting” the Russian army.
