In Tomsk Oblast, unknown people broke a cross and smashed a memorial plaque with the names of Poles shot during the repressions in 1938. The TV2 Media Outlet reported this on December 1.

The incident occurred in the village of Polozovo. Unknown people also damaged similar memorials in other places of the region.

On November 16, plaques and a cross were removed from the monument to Poles in the village of Bialystok. On November 13, a plaque was stolen from a building where a Polish orphanage was located in the 1940s. And on the Independence Day of Poland, November 11, a plaque was torn off from a memorial stone to Poles in Tomsk.

A memorial in memory of the executed Poles was asked to be demolished in Smolensk. Builders arrived at the monument in Katyn in trucks and threatened to remove it in response to the demolition of Soviet monuments in Poland.
