In Syktyvkar, the court appointed five days of arrest to activist Yulia Posevkina for the repeated commission of an administrative offense. On February 24, she held an anti-war rally. Lawyer Vladislav Kosnyrev reported this to 7x7.
The Syktyvkar City Court arrested Yulia Posevkina, the head of the organization helping children with health limitations, for five days on March 5. She was found guilty of the repeated commission of an administrative offense (Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code). On February 24, the activist held a rally against military actions in Ukraine.
In 2021, she was fined for 10 thousand rubles for organizing an uncoordinated rally in support of Alexei Navalny on April 21, because she shared a post about the rally. According to Posevkina, she could not attend the rally because of a broken leg.
Another resident of Syktyvkar, Natalia Beshkareva, was detained by police at Theater Square on March 5, when she was holding an anti-war picket. Policemen seized Beshkareva’s poster, she refused to give them explanations. She was later released from the department.
"My son will turn 18 in two weeks. There are no guarantees that he will not be drafted and sent to a bloody ‘special operation’," she told 7x7.
Activists continue to hold anti-war pickets in many regions of Russia. On March 5, police detained Ruslan Agibalov from Kursk. The ex-policeman came to the square with a poster, "Yes to Peace!".
Before possible anti-war rallies, policemen handed activists warnings about the inadmissibility of actions that create conditions for committing crimes and administrative offenses. Activist Sergei Padalkin from Penza and defender of Shies Dmitry Sekushin have already received such warnings.
