Security forces have detained Egor Butakov, the former coordinator of Navalny's headquarters* in Arkhangelsk. Activist Olga Elsakova reported this.

Egor Butakov, the former coordinator of Navalny's headquarters* in Arkhangelsk, was detained by "unknown people in uniform" on December 28. As Egor Butakov's mother Yulia Labrik told 7x7, the detention took place early in the morning. Nothing is known about the activist's whereabouts.

"Egor's wife Dasha called me. She said that people in uniform had broken into their place at 6 a. m., they did not show their ID. They seized all the equipment, made Egor lie facedown on the floor and took him away. There was no time to inform the lawyer. I do not know where my kid is right now. I have called the police departments in the districts; he is not there. The Investigating Committee does not tell me anything, and neither does the FSB," Yulia Labrik said.

As lawyer Alexei Kychin told 7x7, Egor Butakov is in the Investigating Committee’s Directorate for Arkhangelsk Oblast. The lawyer is not allowed to see him.


In Russia, on December 28, 2021, security forces detained the former coordinators of Navalny's headquarters* - Ksenia Fadeeva in Tomsk, Vadim Ostanin in Barnaul and Zakhar Sarapulov in Irkutsk. In Engels, former SMM specialist of the headquarters* Andrei Gorodetsky was brought to the department.

According to the TV-2 Channel, Ksenia Fadeeva is suspected of organizing an extremist community with the abuse of her official position and of participating in a not-for-profit organization that invades the rights of citizens.
