On October 8, the Ministry of Justice included nine more people and three organizations in the register of media functioning as foreign agents. There are 7x7’s former editors from Syktyvkar and Kirov among them. A total of 68 people has been included in the list of foreign agent media since the beginning of 2021.
MEMO LLC*, the Mason G.E.S. Anonymous Foundation* Company (USA), which is the owner of the M.News World Online Media Outlet, Stichting Bellingcat*, a company registered in the Netherlands, and nine more people have been included in the register of foreign agents. The Ministry of Justice has included Elena Solovyova*, 7x7’s former editor-in-chief from Komi, and journalist Ekaterina Klepikovskaya* from Kirov (both work in the Sever.Realii* Media Outlet) in the list of foreign agent media.
Solovyova* commented on her inclusion in the register to the SOTA Media Outlet.

"It seems to me that only the desire to smother the whole creation influences the Ministry of Justice’s decision. I am vividly recalling the scene from the last Dune movie, where the flying baron Vladimir Harkonnen, sitting in an oil-like goo, says, 'Kill them all.' As for me, in the first place, I am going to find out how to act now, because foreign agents must comply with a lot of absurd rules," Solovyova said.
7x7’s journalist Sergei Markelov* from Karelia became one of the first individuals in the register of foreign agent media in December 2020.
