The 7x7 Online Newspaper’s team is going on a new expedition to the Russian regions in October 2021. This time, the editorial staff is going to Izhevsk, Sterlitamak, Orenburg, Buzuluk, and Almetyevsk to talk with activists and journalists and meet with 7x7’s readers.

7x7’s expedition will be held from October 3 to 11. The editorial staff will hold a public lecture called, “Seven reasons to remain optimistic in Russia” in each city. It is free-to-enter for everyone. In addition, the online newspaper’s team will get acquainted with those who are changing their cities' life for the better: activists, journalists, independent politicians, and social activists.

"We know that we live in a complex, diverse country, and we travel around the regions to meet aspirational people. We are looking for local heroes who, overcoming apathy, indifference, censorship, and self-censorship, launch new initiatives, solve problems, unite people," said Pavel Andreev, the media outlet’s CEO.

Invited videographer Pavel Korchyomkin, 7x7’s special correspondent Maxim Polyakov, the media outlet’s producer and CEO of the Revolt Center Independent Cultural Space in Syktyvkar Darya Ananyeva, and 7x7’s CEO Pavel Andreev are going on the expedition.
