Participants of the picket went to the Theater Square with a poster "Thermal destructors against the whole creation". According to activist Anastasia Oreshnikova, the action caught people's interest, some of them did not know about the plans to use refuse incineration installations in the republic.
“Many people approached us, asked questions, some of them did not know what thermal destructors were, and they learned about plans to install them in the republic from picketers. Some people expressed their solidarity. There was a person who used Shies as an example and said that people had managed to save it, and it was necessary for people to be together there, „to rise up“.”
Along with the pickets, activists have begun collecting signatures against the use of refuse incineration installations. As of December 28, more than 600 people have already signed the petition.
“Signatures are also collected at the CPRF’s site in the office at 110 Internacional'naya Street. In addition, there are communities on the Internet, such as the Save Pechora Committee, EcoBessrochka in Syktyvkar. There are documents that people can print, sign, and sent scans of documents to the addresses provided in the communities,“ Anastasia Oreshnikova told 7x7.
