Natalya Chernomashentseva, a nurse of the department of surgery, held a one-person picket in the central square of Zapolyarny in order to demand payments promised by the president for working in a danger zone. She told the correspondent of 7x7 about this on October 5.

In addition to working in the hospital, Natalya Chernomashentseva is an activist of the Deystviye ('Action') Trade Union of Medical Workers. She planned to hold a protest and expected up to 10 health workers to attend it, but the authorities refused to approve it. As a result, she held a one-person picket.

Chernomashentseva stood near the Oktyabr’ (‘October’) Cultural Center. She held a poster saying, "We demand payments for high-risk „groups“."

According to the activist, only a few people witnessed her picket — it was cold and very foggy in the Northern town.

Local doctors, as well as medical workers in other regions of Russia, are not satisfied with the procedure of accounting payments promised by the president for working with patients with coronavirus. Chernomashentseva's campaign was part of all-Russian campaign "Pay Doctors for COVID".
