The police detained four activists holding one-person pickets against amendments to the Constitution in Kotlas, Arkhangelsk Oblast. Website “Severo-Zapad ('Northwest'). MBH media” reported this on June 21 with reference to Valery Ponomaryov, the chief of the volunteer public order patrol in Kotlas.

The activists held posters “The best amendment is Putin's resignation”, “Let’s boycott the all-Russian fraud”. Valery Ponomaryov believes that there was no violation:

— We are charged with holding an unauthorized rally and violating self-isolation which does not exist. This is a voluntary matter. They are probably not aware of this, — he explained to website “Severo-Zapad. MBH media”.

Participants of the picket are the members of the People's Council of the Citizens of the RSFSR of the USSR in Kotlas.

On June 20, the police issued notifications on violating “the high-alert mode” to two of the 10 participants of one-person pickets against amendments to the Constitution in Syktyvkar.

Voting on amendments to the Constitution is scheduled for July 1, and early voting begins on June 25.
