On December 21 in Udmurtia, the Deystviye (‘Action’) Trade Union of medical workers and the Russian Socialist Movement organized a series of pickets in support of Glazov medical workers who had publicly complained of low salaries and demanded to raise the rate in accordance with the "May decrees". Actions took place in Izhevsk, Glazov, Mozhga, and Sarapul.
In Glazov, about 40 people - doctors and patients — held the picket near the Russia Cultural Center, said Alexander Zolotaryov, the Head of the Center for Medical Law in Udmurtia, on his page on vk.com. He noted that doctors came to the action, "despite the most powerful pressure from the executive staff of the hospital."
The organizers of the picket wanted to hold the action in another place - at the Glazov Arena Ice Dome, — but the authorities did not agree on it because of the "installation of a Christmas tree", although it was installed in early December.

The participants of the picket in Glazov signed a resolution demanding high-quality and free medicine in Udmurtia, decent conditions and salaries for medical workers, timely and uninterrupted purchase of consumables for medical institutions, ensuring the rights of patients to free medicines. The document will be sent to all federal authorities.
In Izhevsk, the participants of mass and one-person pickets supported the requirements of Glazov medical workers. One of them took place at the entrance of Municipal Clinical Hospital №2. The action of solidarity with the Deystviye Trade Union was also held in Yekaterinburg.

As Alexander Zolotaryov noted, the collection of signatures under the open appeal of Glazov medical workers continues separately. The main requirement is to ensure the level of salaries of employees of the Glazov Interdistrict Hospital of at least 200% of the average for doctors in the region for the rate, at least 100% — for paramedics and nurses.
In December, employees of the Glazov Interdistrict Hospital wrote an open letter to the Republican Ministry of Health, in which they reported low salaries and overtaxing by the executive staff of the medical institution. "We can no longer work time-and-a-half, trying to literally survive, providing the basic needs of our families, ruining their health, depriving ourselves from a full life — rest, communication with family and friends, family and other non-work duties," online-newspaper udm-info.ru quotes the letter. The authors of the letter pointed out that they did not know what the amount of incentive payments for different categories of medical workers was based on, and accused the hospital management of deception. So, in October, medical workers were promised salaries’ raise, but at the same time incentive payments were reduced.
