On October 4, anarchist, native of Medvezhyegorsk, the Republic of Karelia, Ekaterina Muranova met with the investigator who leads her case. He said that her case would soon be brought to trial. No court date has been set. Ekaterina told the correspondent of "7x7" that together with the lawyer she was going to argue the results of the linguistic examination that was carried out within the investigation. Justification and call for terrorism were indicated in her comments under the post on vk.com about the explosion on October 31 in the FSB building in Arkhangelsk. Ekaterina Muranova is going to ask her lawyer to organize a new linguistic examination, which will hopefully not confirm either the justification of terrorism or the call for it.
Ekaterina Muranova and her lawyers should provide the copy of the already conducted linguistic expertise during the next talk with the investigator on October 9.
Ekaterina Muranova from the Karelian city of Medvezhyegorsk is accused of committing a crime under Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public Calls for Committing of Terrorist Activity or Public Justification of Terrorism"). She faces a fine of 300 thousand to 1 million rubles or imprisonment for from five to seven years.
In the autumn of 2018, Ekaterina Muranova commented a post about the explosion on October 31 in the FSB building in Arkhangelsk, which was made by 17-year-old anarchist Mikhail Zhlobitsky. The young man died and three law enforcement officers were injured. According to Ekaterina Muranova, on March 20, 2019, employees of the FSB and the Center for Countering Extremism came to her apartment without a search warrant because of her comment, "when the post itself and all comments had been already deleted."
