Kirov police have identified a teenager who planned a mass murder using cold steel and explosives in a city school. This was reported by Interfax on September 24, referring to the head of the Department for counteracting extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Vladimir Makarov.

According to Makarov, the other day the police learned that the teenager was interested in school violence and planned a mass murder in a school of Kirov. As Makarov said, since the beginning of 2019, several teenagers, who regard themselves as one of the "Columbiners", have been identified in Adygea, Tatarstan, Zabaykalsky, Krasnoyarsk and Khabarovsk Krai, the Nenets Autonomous District, Kirov, Sverdlovsk and Smolensk Oblasts.

Update 14:14: according to internet-magazine Baza, on September 19, the teenager began to send the photos from the places of mass shootings to the school chat — including Columbine High School massacre in 1999 and the Kerch Polytechnic College massacre in 2018. One of his classmates complained to the Director, and the same day the teenager was detained. According to Baza, now the student is registered in the Inspectorate for minors, and the materials on his case were transferred to the Investigative Division of the Russian Investigative Committee in Kirov Oblast.

In Kerch (Republic of Crimea) on October 17, 2018, the most mass murder in an educational institution in the recent history of Europe was committed — 21 people were killed and 67 injured. The investigation suspected college student Vladislav Roslyakov of shooting people - presumably, he committed suicide after the crime.
