In Syktyvkar, the stand with a portrait of Joseph Stalin was removed from lecture-exhibition complex «Russia's Human Potential» in polyclinic №3. The head of polyclinic's department in Karl Marx street said that the chief physician Natalia Sukhorukova had told to do this on August 29, reported the correspondent of "7x7" on August 30.
The head of the department of polyclinic №3 Lyudmila Nyukhicheva said that the stand had been removed immediately after the call of the head physician:
- Nobody even noticed this [poster], to be honest. I'm telling you, I've been working for a week. I, though I was on the third floor, several times went upstairs due to my duties, but even [did not look] at the posters. Then I had to start looking for it after the chief physician's call.
Only an anti-abortion poster of all in the clinic, the one with the portrait of Stalin, was removed. Other posters remained where they were.
Stands campaigning against abortion, tobacco, alcohol, and, drugs from lecture-exhibition complex «Russia's Human Potential» appeared in Syktyvkar polyclinic №3 about two months ago. The chief physician did not know about the poster with an example of abortions' prohibition in Stalin's time, and her deputy did not consider anything to be wrong.
According to the Ministry of Health of the Komi Republic, the number of abortions is decreasing every year. In 2013, 7,5 thousand abortions were recorded, and in 2017 — 5,6 thousand. As reported by the Ministry of Health of Russia, in 2018, there were 21 offices for support of pregnant women in a difficult situation in the regional women's consultations.
