The Election Commission of Murmansk oblast recommended removing logos of party United Russia from road equipment to municipal management of the road industry. This was reported on August 26 by representatives of the Murmansk headquarters of politician Alexei Navalny, who drew the attention of the Election Commission to the cars with propaganda.
Coordinator of the headquarters Violetta Grudina found some KaMAZ cars with stickers "Murmansk is a city of cleanness" and symbols of United Russia in the city centre. She wrote two complaints to the Electoral Commission: about the participants of the municipal elections from United Russia and candidate in governors Andrey Chibis, because the stickers did not specify whose account had paid for campaign materials. The Electoral Commission told Grudina that the stickers had appeared before the beginning of the election campaign and were not propaganda materials, but housing and communal services were told that the stickers should have been removed. The response to the complaint against Chibis has not yet come.
On September 8, the elections of the Governor and elections to local governments will be held in Murmansk oblast. The Electoral Commission has registered six people as the gubernatorial candidates: Michael Antropov (CPRF), Maxim Belov (THE LDPR), Vasiliy Burov (A Just Russia), Vitaly Izmaylov (Civil Platform), Gennady Tupikin (The Russian Party of Pensioners for Social Justice), and Andrey Chibis (United Russia). Representatives of the LDPR, CPRF, A Just Russia, and United Russia are going to participate in the elections to local governments.
