The case materials accusing Andrey Broy, leader of the Free Yaroslavl movement and a former village deputy, of disclosing legally protected information (Article 13.15, Part 7 of Russia's Code of Administrative Offenses) have been submitted to the Justice of the Peace Court in Yaroslavl's Kirovsky District. Broy faces a fine of up to 30,000 rubles. According to 7x7, the hearing is scheduled for August 12.
The administrative protocol was drawn up over Broy's post about the drone attack on Yaroslavl on March 28. According to the politician, he mentioned the name of the chain store damaged in the attack but did not disclose its address or even the district where it was located. The blurred video attached to the post did not show the attack itself, only an empty street and the sound of drones flying overhead and exploding.
Russian regions began introducing bans on filming the aftermath of shelling and drone attacks in the spring of 2024. According to 7x7's calculations, such bans are now in force in 62 regions. However, this appears to be the first known case of someone being prosecuted for publishing audio of an attack, alongside the detention of a Volgograd resident who filmed herself during a missile attack.
