The activist group Komanda (Team) has raised only 33,500 of the 60,000 rubles it hoped to collect, but it still plans to begin searching for 50 Tula Oblast residents listed on Russia's register of terrorists and extremists, Andrey Rybka, head of Komanda's human rights department, told 7x7.

"We've now raised more than half of the amount we need, so we'll begin the search with the funds we already have. I believe that once we start publishing updates on the search and the political prisoners we find, we'll be able to raise the rest of the money in July," Rybka said.

The activists plan to help those they locate with legal defense and communication with the outside world. The search is expected to require more than 250 hours of volunteer work. The funds will be used to pay for electronic prison correspondence and OSINT research tools. You can support the fundraiser here.
