Three Sverdlovsk conscripts from the 43rd Railroad Brigade lost their lives during a shelling incident in the Belgorod region. Seven others were wounded, with two of them currently in serious condition. This information was reported by E1.ru, citing regional ombudswoman Tatyana Merzlyakova, on June 6th.

On June 1st, three conscripts were killed near the settlement of Borisovka. They were caught in a barrage of fire while returning from a bathhouse. Tatyana Merzlyakova, as regional ombudswoman, appealed to Valeri Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff, requesting the return of all Sverdlovsk conscripts stationed in the Belgorod, Kursk, Bryansk, and Voronezh Regions to their respective units.

Sources of 7x7 have confirmed that the vehicle with the soldiers was struck by a shell. The 7x7 office has verified the identities of two of the deceased individuals: Kirill Maksakov from Krasnoturinsk, the Sverdlovsk Region, and Aziz Alibekov from Dagestan. After an appeal by the mothers of the surviving soldiers to the president, an investigation is to be conducted at their sons’ units near the border.

7x7 has established that a minimum of 10 conscripts, including those from Sverdlovsk, have tragically lost their lives at the border since the beginning of the war.

In September 2022, ill-prepared young men were hurriedly dispatched to the border in the Belgorod region. At the moment, the Ukrainian army was making advances toward Kharkiv. Young conscripts are engaged in trench-digging works. They resort to makeshift shelters during fire, occasionally becoming casualties of bombings.
