Aleksei Moskalyov from the Tula region has been extradited from Belarus to Russia. This was reported by the OVD-info publication on April 12th. Moskalyov had been detained in Belarus for approximately 12 days. In Russia, he was sentenced to two years in prison for repeatedly discrediting the army.

In Russia, Aleksei Moskalyov is expected to serve two years in prison for repeatedly discrediting the army. After his escape from house arrest, Moskalyov was detained in Belarus on March 30. For approximately 10 days, his lawyer, Vladimir Bilienko, was unable to locate him. On April 12, it was confirmed that Moskalyov had been extradited back to Russia and was expected to be taken to detention center № 1 in Tula.


Following Moskalyov's detention, his daughter Masha was placed in an orphanage, and initially, the authorities refused to return her to her mother, Olga Sitchikhina. However, with the permission of the Ombudsman for Children's Rights, Sitchikhina was able to take her daughter home on April 5. On April 20, a trial is scheduled to take place in Efremov regarding restrictions on Moskalyov’s and Sitchikhina's parental rights.
