The festival jury announced that the video released by online magazine 7x7 for the anniversary of the landfill construction at station Shies had won the Best Video award. One of the jury members, RBC producer Pavel Karasyov, announced this on July 16.

The video was filmed in the summer of 2019, when the correspondents of 7x7 were visiting Shies. 7x7’s correspondents Nina Popugaeva, Karina Zabolotnaya, Dmitry Stepanovsky, and film editor Nikita Pivovarov worked on the video. It tells a brief history of the defenders of Shies’ territory opposing the construction of a landfill for Moscow and how their tent camp — the eco-watch — developed.

The Vmeste Media (‘Media Together’) Competition is a professional competition for media content authors including mass media; it has regional and federal stages. From July 15 to 20, the winners of the federal stage of the competition are announced.

In 2019, Nina Popugaeva, Karina Zabolotnaya, and Dmitry Stepanovsky won the Redkollegiya (‘Editorial Board’) award, one of the most respected media awards, for their story about Shies in the format of dictionary.
